The JWCH HIV testing and counseling program targets homeless individuals in the downtown Los Angeles area of Central City East commonly known as skid row. These services are provided at both JWCH medical clinics in the area and at various sites throughout the area by community health workers of the JWCH Institute's Medical Outreach Team. The following are the 8 sites where testing is currently offered:

Health workers refer and assist clients who test positive for health services, case management and prevention education to reduce the progression and further spread of the virus. Clients who test negative are referred to the H.A.R.R.P behavior change program to receive information and education. All program participants also get referrals for various resources such as, housing, food, clothing and other social services, as needed.
